Virginia Tech vs Georgia Tech 11/4/10 Thursday Night Football
Good old Virginia Tech... guaranteed to be ranked in the top 5 nationally every year and finish in the top 20. I think the term overrated applies with this team, its a great place to see a game though. The "Enter Sandman" really is one of the coolest intros but I don't like this program. The have a trophy case already built at the practice facility to display the National Championship trophy.....are you kidding me?

NC State Carter Finley Stadium 11/7/2009
I first went here in 1985 to see The Who, the stadium has been renovated and seating has been increased but its still a great place to see College Football. If you don't mind a little hike you can park for free about a mile away from the Stadium, good exercise! Living in Richmond is great because you have a good chunk of the ACC with in a 6 hour drive, Raleigh Durham has four teams all practically right next to each other. Taken during the Maryland NC State game in 2009, NC State won a shootout that came down to a defensive stand by the Wolfpack stopping Maryland on fourth down with about a minute left! Fun stuff!!
Georgia Tech at Wake Forest 10/2/2010
I enjoyed seeing a game here, one of the great things about College Football is the traditions involved. At Wake Forest they have a pre game player walk combined with a pep rally three hours before kickoff. Wake lost this game on a late 90 yard TD drive..they should have won this one!

11/8/10 Monday Night Football Steelers @ Bengals
Sometimes people think I am a bit crazy..I drove seven hours from Richmond Virginia to Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, took a five hour nap then drove five hours to Cincinnati for this game. If you know what traffic is like in the Queen City then you realize I spent two hours to drive the last 40 miles! The Bengals managed to blow the game late..
After the game I drove back to Pittsburgh took a 4 hour nap and headed back to Richmond, arriving home around 8 pm on Tuesday. Total driving time of almost 20 hours in a two day stretch just for a 4 hour Football game.. that's how I love spending my days off!
Old Yankee Stadium
I do not really endorse the New York Yankees in any way but I really wish I would have seen a game at the original version of this park, I saw two games at the remodeled park. 20 years apart but I was there, the first trip was September 10ht 1988 and it was completely unplanned. Just started driving north on a Friday night and ended up at the stadium Saturday morning. Of course now the 9/10 date sort of weirds me out a bit..Saw the Yankees and the Tigers play that day, Yankees win 5-3. The second trip was September 14 2008, a planned visit this time. I had never been to Shea Stadium and since both parks were closing, we did a Mets game on Saturday and a Yankees game on Sunday. I always feel a little twing of sadness when Ballparks close down, why I don't know but I think it relates to some of the events that are associated with each park. For me Yankee Stadium always makes me thing of Lou Gehrig..always has, even as a kid in the 1970s he was the Yankees. So I thought of his life when they tore down this park, it wasn't the same place he played in but you really could feel the ghosts there. It was a bit of a dump but a dump I whish was still around..
